The Interview
Wraggster: Can you tell us where you live and where do you come
from, and where you went to school, college etc?
Bob: Currently live in Schenectady, NY. Come from Albany, NY.
Went to school... college was the Art Institutes International: Art
Institute of Pittsburgh, obtaining a degree in Computer Animation and
Multimedia Development.
Other education includes Albany School of Visual Arts, Albany Institute
of
History and Art.
Wraggster: Can you tell us what made you get into computers and what
Qualifications you have?
Bob: My father convinced me into computers back when 2400 baud modems roamed
the
Earth in abundance. Back then I created ANSI art for a lot of local BBS's.
Wraggster: What made you get into the Dreamcast Homebrew scene?
Bob: I worked with Brian occasionally at one job. He just asked me one day
if I
wanted to help him with a project.
Wraggster: What projects are you working on at the moment?
Bob: Marbol (puzzle game), The Forgotten (rpg)
Wraggster: Do you see an update to your great neopoccett or dreampac projects?
Bob: There was an update to DreamPac Brian and I discussed in passing that
I'd
like to see actually happen. As for Neopocott, that's all up to the guy
who made it.
Wraggster: What emulators would you like to either try or see come out
on the
Dreamcast?
Bob: I'm not really sure what others I'd like to see.. Maybe MAME or something
that'll let me play the Spider-Man arcade game again! :)
Wraggster: With Bleemcast being released and the great success at getting
a
playstation emu on the Dreamcast, what other high end systems
do you see being emulated?
Bob: I think the 64 could probably be emulated, but Nintendo is rather tight
with their stuff.
Wraggster: How do you see the future as regards to which system will be
the
main one for homebrew coders like yourself?
Bob: I think the DC will do quite well as long as people come up with something
other than emu's and bad remakes of other games.
People always bitch about games - well, now's your chance to make something
worth playing!
Wraggster: Would you like to see a Game Boy Advance emulator on the Dreamcast
but one that is crippled so it cant play commercial roms?
Bob: Sounds good in theory.
Wraggster: What are your favorite games of all time and why?
Bob: Well, let's get a list going.
Atari 2600: Haunted House
ColecoVision: Donkey Kong
Arcade (80's): Asteroids/Kangaroo
NES: Dragon Warrior 2
SEGA Master System: After Burner
Genesis: Spider-Man
SNES: Super Mario Land
GameBoy: Mega Man
Arcade (90's): Spider-Man
PlayStation: Medal Of Honor

Wraggster: Thanks for the interview and your time :)
